LEGO Space Shuttle Launch Pad in Microscale by Kackalartka

I have so many fond memories of building LEGO Space Shuttle MOCs as a kid – and always wanted the many, many, many official sets. Whereas mine were generally large play-set style models, Kackalartka has managed to recreate it as a gorgeous microscale model.

This is his entry in the Brickset site’s 60 Years of the LEGO Brick Competition celebrating all the other ideas that could have gone into the recent 60th Anniversary LEGO Set.

I wish him good luck with their entry. There’s some good entries on the Brickset Flickr group. But for me, this is one that hits a lot of great memories.
