LEGO City Mobile Construction Crane review! It’s massive but should set 60409 be even bigger?

June 29, 2024 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 2 minutes

This is my unbiased review of the LEGO City Mobile Construction Crane set 60409. At $180AUD and 1116 pieces, it’s not cheap. But does it deliver value and is this a renaissance of the LEGO Construction line? And one important question… Should it have been bigger?

I may have too many LEGO helicopters… but my Lego City tidy is going well!

June 26, 2024 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’m tidying my LEGO City as you know if you’ve watched my last city update. It’s got a way to go but I seem to have too many helicopters! There are fire ones, ambulances and a police one. Plus a sci-fi space one.

LEGO City update confession: it’s more Apocalypseburg than Studsburg at the moment.

June 23, 2024 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 2 minutes

You haven’t seen my city in a long time and with good reason. In this video, I’m going to come clean on the issues I have and the reason there haven’t been any updates. There are LEGO sets dumped everywhere and that obviously impacts how much i can update my custom LEGO city. A cleanup program has begun though! Don’t worry!

I finally tried the #LEGO Pick A Brick boxes and I love them! Now, about all the old cups I have…

June 22, 2024 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: < 1 minute

LEGO swapped over to boxes for the Pick A Brick wall a while ago, but I haven’t purchased anything for a while because, tbh, the selection was a bit crap.

So last time I went, I was pleasantly surprised to find the a good selection!

The Pick A Brick boxes worked well lets you cram a lot of the bigger pieces in with the bonus that the cardboard has a little give meaning you can cram more in and the staff were generous in tapping it up too!

LEGO Delivery Truck Detailed Review (City set 60440)

June 8, 2024 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

LEGO Delivery Truck 60440 ReviewReading Time: < 1 minute

This is a detailed review of the LEGO Delivery Truck set 60440. The is the spiritual successor to set 3221: LEGO City Truck from 2010.

And what a difference those 14 years make! The difference in the techniques and quality of the set are nothing but impressive! There’s hints of the Speed Champions techniques in the build.

But is this set worth that much more? Lets have a look at the new LEGO Delivery Truck 60440! Hint: This set is more than twice the size of the old one. I just question if this is a City set or a Collectors set. What do you think?
