LEGO City Space Haul from Mars via LEGO Shop at home!
LEGO City Space Haul from Mars via LEGO Shop at home! When LEGO said they were going back into Space I was super excited! And just like NASA they decide that a mission to the Red Planet of Mars was on the cards!

So you’ve guessed by this point it is a LEGO City Space set, but which one? TBH, there’s a good chance I’ll collect them all over the next year as I think they’re excellent. But this is on that my wife saw and said “You have to get that!”. I didn’t hesitate and ordered it there and then before she changed her mind!
One thing I do love though, is how much inspiration they took from NASA on the designs of these sets – I’m surprised they didn’t actually involve them TBH. But glad to see this happening! And I am over the moon (see what I did there!) that LEGO is back in Space!
The good thing about this order was that I got to use some expiring points, but also got the free exclusive LEGO Space Rocket Ride (40335)! Excellent.
For good measure I also order a Power Functions XL Motor for powering some of my theme parks rides. That motor should easily power 3 or 4 rides with some clever gearing. That will include the Ferris wheel (10247), Carousel (10257) and Pirate Roller coaster (31084). So keep an eye out for my videos on that motorisation process!

LEGO Toy Story 4 Carnival Thrill Coaster Build & Review (10771)
LEGO Toy Story 4 Carnival Thrill Coaster Build & Review with Joss and Cali! I thought it’d be a fun challenge to get my 3 and 4 yr olds to build and review this set. Wish me luck!

I have to be honest. There were a few moments that building with the pair of them got a little crazy but they loved the LEGO Toy Story 4 Carnival Thrill Coaster (10771)! After this build we played for ages with it and the Unikitty Unikingdom Fairground Fun (set 41456).
This is another of the new LEGO 4+ Sets that I have been nothing but impressed with so far! The quality and play features are great and this features 2 specific parts. A base plate and a large green arch.
For this version of Buzz Lightyear, he’s a minifigure with a printed face rather than a custom mould. And the alien is great.
But, obviously the star of the playtime fun here is the rollercoaster itself. So much fun! But one tip: make sure you play with it on a grippy surface! As you can see in this video it goes everywhere!
I’ll be doing a full review of this set myself this week! So stay subscribed and turn the bell on!

Custom LEGO Hogwarts Express Train and Carriages MOC (set 75955)
CUSTOM LEGO HOGWARTS EXPRESS TRAIN AND CARRIAGES MOC (set 75955). In this video, I’ll show you the changes I made to the fabulous LEGO Hogwarts Express train using a second set and some parts from Bricklink.

My regular followers know I’m a big fan of LEGO Trains, but if you’re new here, be sure to subscribe as I have lots of train plans ahead including how to upgrade the LEGO City Trains such as the 60197 that was released in 2018.
This custom LEGO Train MOC has been extended by 2 studs and the centre whistle moved back 2 studs. This was to better match the real Hogwarts Express train – although I might change it further but then the tender would need an extension too.
For the carriages, I’m using a 24-stud long train carriage base (the same size as city trains like the LEGO City Passenger Train 60197). I decided they were a good size as my layout is quite short and this way they all match (and save arguments with corners!).
Both carriages have working doors, and a few extra details and one is fitted out as a full dining car now. Don’t forget to say hi to Dr McBrick and GJBricks in the dining car!
Let me know what you think along with suggestions when you’ve finished watching the video and don’t forget to like it!
Also, how do you think this fares against the new LEGO 2022 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition (76405)? It definitely doesn’t cost anywhere near as much, fits on normal LEGO Train tracks and actually moves on it’s own! Woohoo!

BrickLink LEGO Haul – 1k bricks for City, Trains and Tree MOCs
BRICKLINK LEGO HAUL – 1K BRICKS FOR CITY, TRAINS AND TREE MOCs. I went a little nuts on my parts orders recently and this is the most exciting 3 as they’ll help me start building trees and other MOCs. But, most importantly, another Hogwarts Express Upgrade I’ve been itching to make!

So yeah, these BrickLink LEGO orders come from all over the world, literally. The reason being – and I don’t fully understand why yet – is that I got more bricks, for less including shipping, from overseas. That may be due to some parts not being readily available in Australia and therefore being higher. But it seemed odd.
These orders come from:
Aussie Brickster https://store.bricklink.com/AussieBrickster
Mystery Mansion https://store.bricklink.com/MysteryMansion
AARHUS_BRICKS_DK (from Denmark) https://store.bricklink.com/mramoeba
I’m very happy with just how much value I got here! Now to get cracking on all of those planned LEGO MOCs!
P.S. You may notice a plaster appear on one of the fingers on my left hand part way through. This is why you need to be very, very careful with knives!

Thoughts and Ideas on LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down 75810
Thoughts and Ideas on LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down 75810. In this video I’m going to run through my thoughts on the previews of the Stranger Things set and also some ideas for integrating into a LEGO City!

This is a set the LEGO has teased for a while with Strange Things happening in their stores. We all suspected it was this and some images did leak early.
But now that the LEGO Stranger Things set has arrived, I wanted to give you my thoughts and opinions on the set as well as an idea that has been bubbling through my mind since they saw it.
In truth, I think the set is way to expensive for what it is. If it was less, then I have some ideas as to how it could be integrated into a LEGO City like mine. I’d like to think this is a unique and different way for the set to be used as it makes it both a display model and a fully function part of Studsburg, our LEGO City.

You can watch our Happy Monday LEGO Build and play video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bK_d9yMUd0
This LEGO 2019 set comes in at a low 115 parts but somehow it feels worth it. I think because the parts selection is very broad and the minifigures are excellent and so well printed that might be part of the cost of the set.
You get Lucy, Susan and Sweet Mayhem in this set and all are really good quality. This is a good size set to get them in.
And one thing that really impresses is that for such a small set, everything is printed! Printed!
It is sort of a 2-in-1 LEGO Set too as it comes with parts to rebuild the queen into a pile of bricks. It’s a lot of fun!
But, I will say, it is not worth the RRP. But… Get it for 20% off and it’s worth it! And, kids LOVE it. Just watch Joss’ video and you can see how much she loved building and playing with it!
